Upset Pick of the Week

After missing on my first two upset picks this year, I’m no longer picking against Alabama. Instead, I have two upsets to look out for. I’m more confident this week in Texas Tech, as they host #16 Oklahoma. Lubbock is as rowdy as it gets in college football, especially when they host a bitter rival. Under the lights, the Red Raiders will stun their former quarterback Baker Mayfield, who left for Oklahoma after success as a Red Raider. Oklahoma hasn’t impressed at all this year, losing to Houston, Ohio State, and barely beating Texas, so this week, they’ll be run over in Lubbock.

My other upset watch is in Happy Valley, as the #2 Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Penn State. It’s a “white out” game for the home standing Nittany Lions, and it has all the makings of a possible upset in one of the most amazing scenes in sports. Ohio State is coming off of a tough, grind-it-out win in Madison last week, and they are in for a battle. Penn State has played well, and at home, they are up for the challenge against the Buckeyes. Head Coach James Franklin is looking for a signature win, and he might just get that tonight.
