Hi, I'm Brian Yancelson

I am a broadcaster and writer whose passion is storytelling. It brings me joy to share someone else’s interesting background or fascinating journey, and I can do it in both English and Spanish. Take some time to browse my website and learn more about my story.
I have served as a play-by-play broadcaster across the sports of baseball, basketball, football, indoor volleyball and beach volleyball. I am currently the Manager of Public Relations and Broadcasting for the San Antonio Missions, Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. In this role, I travel with the team and broadcast during every road game. Past broadcasting highlights also include the California Winter League, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Basketball & Volleyball Championships, NCAA Playoff games and the Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championships on ESPN +. My journey in the sports world began as a kid reporter for Sports Illustrated Kids, where I published over 30 articles. From there, I went on to be the co-editor of my high school newspaper and sports editor of my college newspaper. I then discovered public relations, and I have worked as a PR intern for Trinity University along with PR roles with the Valero Alamo Bowl, San Antonio Brahmas and San Antonio Missions. I recently served serve as the Marketing Coordinator for the Valero Alamo Bowl, where I led our advertising and social media campaigns, game production and more. Currently, I am the Manager of Public Relations and Broadcasting for the San Antonio Missions, Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
