Upset Pick of the Week

Two of the only constants in college football this year have been Georgia and Alabama running over opponents on the way to Atlanta for the SEC championship. Neither team has faced a fight. That changes today.

The Georgia Bulldogs, ranked #1 in the country, leave the safety of the SEC East and head to the rolling plains of Alabama, home of the #10 Auburn Tigers. Jordan-Hare Stadium is no stranger to massive upsets, just ask Alabama about 2013, and for that matter, Georgia too. Auburn has its sights set on big dreams with both Georgia and Alabama coming to their house, and today they’ll take down the Bulldogs from their seat atop college football.

As for the #2 Alabama Crimson Tide, they also face a tough test for the first time under the lights in Starkville. The cowbells will be a’ringin’ in “Starkvegas,” and the #16 Mississippi State Bulldogs will give the Tide all they can handle. The Bulldogs are 14 point underdogs, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they come out on top, and it’ll definitely be closer than 14 points.

So today, everything you thought you knew about this season might get turned upside down in the Deep South. Throw in an extremely difficult match-up for #3 Notre Dame in Miami and there’s a chance the top three teams in the nation go down today.
