Monday night in the Big Easy wasn’t very easy for Atlanta. The Hawks came in winning 19 games in a row. They looked to extend it to 20, but Anthony Davis and the red hot Pelicans had other plans. They came out with a lot of energy, as they usually do against elite teams, and shut down the Hawks. They wanted to protect their house, and they did just that. The Pelicans fired on all cylinders, and Anthony Davis continued to be a beast. He had 29 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. At the free throw line, chants of “M-V-P” rained down throughout the Smoothie King Center. Very well deserved.
The Pelicans proved they are a force to be re conned with in the West, as they are now just one game out of a playoff spot. New Orleans continued their domination at home, improving their home record to 17-6 in the blender. Folks, Anthony Davis is a monster. You have to get a chance to watch him ASAP.
