After a long wait for his physical to go through, the San Diego Padres completed their trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers that sent superstar, and former MVP runner-up Matt Kemp from LA to division rival San Diego. The Padres did not stop there. They pulled off a blockbuster three-team trade with the main piece being former top prospect, Wil Myers going from Tampa Bay to San Diego. Two new outfielders are enough right? New Padres General Manager A.J. Preller didn’t think so, as he reeled in All-Star Justin Upton from Atlanta to completely revamp his outfield. Three new former, and future All-Stars will try and lead San Diego to the playoffs for the first time since 2006. The Padres also acquired former Oakland Athletics 2014 all star catcher Derek Norris. San Diego is going for it. A.J. Preller is making a splash as the new GM, and it’ll be interesting to see how things work out in San Diego.
