The Orioles saw today what they have been waiting to see since they signed Ubaldo Jimenez to a 4 year, 50 million dollar deal. They saw the Ubaldo who won a Cy Young, threw a no hitter, and had one of the best second halfs of last year. He threw eight innings of one run ball (one unearned run), had seven strikeouts, and wait for it 1 WALK! Yes, Ubaldo pitched very well and this start gives O’s fans hope, but the real question is what he can do from now on. He must prove the Orioles should have payed him 50 million.
As for the bats, well Steve Pearce continued to be as hot as anyone with two home runs. Adam Jones and JJ Hardy added to solo homers themselves.
Tonight was an overall great win, and they gained half a game on the idle Blue Jays, and are now just 1 game back of first place going into July.
