MLB Hot Stove Burning

A Monday in November is usually focused on football and basketball, but today there were two major moves in the baseball off season. The Atlanta Braves traded star right fielder Jason Hayward and Jordan Walden for Shelby Miller and Tyrell Jenkins. This looks to be a fair trade for both teams, but it’s hard to judge right now. We’ll have to wait and see how it plays out. The other big move was the Toronto Blue Jays signing the premier catcher on the market, Russell Martin, for 5 years 82 million. At 32 years old, the deal could be a risky one, but the Blue Jays seem to be ready to win now, and if that means spending money, they’re okay with that.
