This whole Manny Machado story I think is unnecessary. His backswing was definitely not on purpose. I get he threw his bat, but think in his shoes for a second. On Friday, Josh Donaldson could have easily thrown to first to get the final out. Instead, he forced Machado to try and avoid a tag, tumbling down. That may have been very uncomfortable for him so you understand why he got upset. Then on Sunday, Abad throws at his knees with a fastball. How would you feel after knee surgery and then someone throws a 90 mph fastball at , your knees. Not very happy just like Manny. He might get a suspension, but honestly, I feel he shouldn’t get one, or at least not a long one.
