I have served as the play-by-play broadcaster for over 200 games across five sports. I most recently worked at the California Winter League in Palm Springs, California. Over 160 players participated in this showcase league playing in front of professional scouts, including scouts representing of Major League Baseball teams. I broadcast two games every day for about a month, and below you can find a radio reel which includes highlights and two half-innings of play.
Most of my early experience came at Trinity University calling NCAA Division III competition. I called games on ESPN + when I did the Southland Conference (Division I) Beach Volleyball Championships and when I called Division I baseball between Pitt and Texas A&M Corpus Christi. I have also broadcast the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC, Division III) Volleyball Championships in Colorado Springs, CO, the SCAC Basketball Championships in San Antonio, TX and several NCAA Playoff games.
After graduating from Trinity, I worked as a Public Relations Assistant with the San Antonio Missions, the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. While there, I recorded myself doing mock innings on the radio, and I also got to jump on the actual radio during the final home series of the season. I have shared both a mock inning (with Chris Caray, at the time the broadcaster for the Amarillo Sod Poodles and now a broadcaster for the Oakland Athletics) and an inning that aired on MiLB TV and local San Antonio radio.
Check out my reels for each sport I have called below, which include highlights along with extended periods of play. Also, watch an example of a postgame interview, two complete innings with the Missions and my most recent work at the California Winter League.
