Patriots Deflate Seahawks, Escape With Unbelievable Win

With under a minute left and trailing by four, Jermaine Kearse caught a miraculous catch inside the five yard line, and it looked as though Seattle was on their way to their second straight title. After a first down run, the Seahawks had second down from the one yard line, with 20 seconds and a timeout. Rather than running it with Marshawn Lynch, arguably the toughest back in the league from just one yard out, Russell Wilson threw a slant pass that Malcolm Butler read perfectly, and intercepted it to seal the Patriots fourth Super Bowl win in 14 years.

It was a great game, possibly one of the best Super Bowls ever, and it was an extremely exciting finish. It was heartbreaking for Seattle, yet thrilling for New England. A controversial, exciting finish to a controversial, exciting season. No better way to end a season than that. Congrats to the Patriots, sorry to the Seahawks. A great game for both of ya’ll. Until next year, they will be sleepless in Seattle.
